About Me

Hi, I’m Shirin Khashei — a textile and surface pattern designer with over eight years of experience developing production-ready textile and rug collections for international markets.
My work focuses on repeat construction, colour systems, and scalable pattern development across woven textiles, home applications, and fashion-led surface design. I specialise in creating technically accurate artwork for production, including colour separation, layered print systems, and factory-ready files.
With a strong foundation in both hand-drawn motif development and digital design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate), I translate traditional influences into commercially relevant textile applications. I have collaborated on hospitality, residential, and export-focused projects, managing the design-to-production workflow from concept through to manufacturing.
Currently based in Sydney, I am expanding my practice into apparel-focused textile development, adapting structured repeat systems and placement prints to garment-based applications.
