Hi, I’m Shirin Khashei — a passionate carpet designer with a deep appreciation for both traditional craftsmanship and modern design. Since 2018, I’ve been creating carpets that blend the rich heritage of Persian art with contemporary aesthetics, tailored for both hospitality and residential interiors.My skills span both digital and hand-drawn techniques. I specialize not only in using design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Procreate, but also in drawing Persian motifs by hand — a craft rooted in tradition and artistic discipline. My understanding of color theory and textile design helps me bring harmony, emotion, and meaning to every project.Now based in Sydney, I’ve collaborated on diverse international projects, including Axminster, digitally printed carpets, and storytelling-inspired rugs. Whether it’s developing detailed repeat patterns or adapting traditional motifs for modern spaces, I’m passionate about turning creative ideas into tangible, beautiful designs that make a statement from the ground up.My goal is to preserve traditional Persian artistry while adapting it for contemporary living.
